Anatomy
department is one of the major department of the college. It was
established in 1973 by late Prof. M. H. Tossy, the first head of
the department and the first principal of the college, in the
shaggy building of the Kissan Hall of Agriculture university,
Faisalabad. In 1982 the department was shifted to the new
college campus. It has a huge three storied building, an
independent lecture hall and a centrally air conditioned
Dissection Hall surrounded by lush green lawns. It is equipped
with all modern teaching aids like multimedia projector,
epidiascope cum slide projector, teaching microscopes, film
projectors, over head projectors etc. Recently ultrasound
addition is made available to teach cross sectional anatomy to
the students.
Anatomy
department has highly qualified staff with Prof. Dr. Imtiaz
Ahmed, as head of department. The rest of team includes two
associate professors, Dr. Nabila Kaukab, Dr. Khalid Mahmood
Akhtar one Assistant professor Dr. Anwar Hussain and seventeen
demonstrators.

Anatomy
department plays a pivotal role in preparing students for higher
medical education. The staff of the department is actively
involved in achieving this goal. Dr. Anwar Hussain, Dr. Khalid
Mahmood Akhtar, Dr. Nabila Kaukab and Dr. Saif ud Din have seven
research papers on their credit. Our demonstrators are also very
keen in studies. Until now about 22 of them have successfully
completed their post-graduate studies while working in the
department and are now competent specialists in various fields.
At present five demonstrators are on roll as M. Phil students in
the subject of anatomy.
