Allied
Hospital, Faisalabad started functioning in 1987 and Anesthesia
Department also started in this Hospital. Prof. Dr. Manzoor
Ahmad Ch. was the first Professor of this Department. He
retired on 21-06-1992 and Prof. Dr. Asghar Ali Randhawa took
over the command of this Department on the same day. Now Dr.
Rubina Ali is the Head of the Department. This
department is providing Anaesthesia cover for Emergency and
routine lists of both DHQ and Allied Hospital. In addition to
senior staff twenty four (24) Medical Officer are also serving.
This Department is recognized by College of Physician & Surgeon
and University of Health Sciences for Postgraduate course of
Diploma Degree.
Anesthesia
Department of Allied Hospital and DHQ Hospital is well equipped
and staffed. Because of trained and qualified staff, we are
pioneers in brain aneurysm surgery and Kidney transplant at
Faisalabad. Eight bedded fully equipped intensive care unit is
running by Anesthesia Department. It is the only intensive care
unit in Faisalabad division receiving critically ill patients
from all fields of Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics.

Prof. Dr.
Asghar Ali Randhawa is 2nd Professor after the retirement of his
predecessor Prof. Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Ch. Prof. Dr. Asghar Ali
Randhawa took over as Principal / Chief Executive of Punjab
Medical College, Faisalabad on 28.4.2008. He is 1st Professor of
Anaesthesia in the history of Pakistan who is appointed as
regular Principal of Punjab Medical College.
Anesthesia Department of Allied Hospital & DHO Hospital is well

Department is also planning to extend services for coronary By
Pass Surgery and also making arrangement to start pain clinic in
out patient Department of this Hospital.
