The Department of Pharmacology at Faisalabad Medical University is run by qualified and experienced faculty. The environment is quite conducive for the proper functioning of the department. It has got spacious and well equipped laboratories for pharmacy and experimental pharmacology, acoustically adjusted lecture rooms with audiovisual facility, museum with multitude of drug samples and library. The department is currently headed by Associate Professor Dr Asad Mahmood Khan since 2015 and has enthusiastic team consisting of three Assistant Professors, nine demonstrators and one pharmacist.

The department has commendable role in teaching the basic modules of MBBS , BDS, dispensers and medical technicians. Some post-graduate courses are also taught here i.e MD cardiology, MS cardiac surgery, MS anaesthesia and DIP card

It is worth noticing that department has maintained the tradition of last year by producing 100% result in BDS with outstanding first position in 2nd Prof. UHS Annual Examination. Even more remarkable is the 95% result in MBBS with three distinctions and it is due to the productive collaboration of teachers and students and their interactive work with full zeal and zest.

Faculty members are actively engaged in research activities on different topics. From 2015 onwards various articles have been published in well reputed national and international journals.
