Quality Enhancement Cell of Faisalabad Medical University is committed to enhance the quality of education at each department by implementing effective and efficient quality assurance system to fulfil requirements of all stake holders.

• The programme to have documented measurable objectives to support departmental and institution’s mission statement
• The programme to bring our educational standards at par with recognized international standards.
• The programme to implement HEC criteria for higher education and promote quality culture.
• The programme to establish quality assurance system to fulfil requirement of all stake holders
• The programme to take measures for capacity building of faculty members and staff through training
• The programme to review the quality standards by auditing academic standards and quality of teaching and learning.

The approach of Quality Enhancement Cell is based on Deming Philosophy and consists of four steps: Plan, Do, Check, Act and Sustain.

• PLAN: Establish objectives and processes required to deliver the desired results in all the departments of FMU.
• DO: Implement the process developed.
• CHECK: Monitor and evaluate the implemented process by testing the results against the pre-determined objectives
• ACT: Apply actions necessary for improvement if the results require changes.
• SUSTAIN: On the basis of corrective and preventive actions taken, the processes are ensured.

• To monitor, evaluate and ensure the compliance of healthcare standards and all legal and regulatory requirements in all teaching hospitals of Faisalabad Medical University.
• QEC is responsible to develop procedures for the following

         Annual Monitoring and evaluation including program monitoring, Faculty monitoring, and student perceptions
         Departmental review
         Student feedback
         Employer feedback
         Quality assurance of Master's, M. Phil and PhD degree programs
         Subject review
         Institutional assessment
         Program specifications

• Set a data bank of information related to quality and feedbacks
• Updating the website on quarterly basis
• Regular interactions with local and international quality enhancement officers of government QEC department to implement new policies and procedures.
• Prepare and conduct Annual Training Plan for the employees to promote Quality Culture.
• Arrange awareness seminars on Self-assessment Program and quality assurance.
• Conduct short courses on technical matters related to quality improvement
